Principle Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise assigned manufacturing area(s) for maximum production efficiency while producing a quality product.
  2. Confirm product specification details for accuracy with special attention to labeling guidelines and UPC accuracy.
  3. Compare product specifications to “Bill of Materials” for accuracy.
  4. Administer leadership qualities when working with departmental setups personnel to insure that they have all the tools and training to accomplish their assignments.
  5. Produce daily production reports using Microsoft Office Excel.
  6. Maintain a production schedule that will support customer demands and un-forecasted opportunities.
  7. Keep accurate records of labor time and dollars for all jobs.
  8. Have the ability to setup label machine for different types of labels.
  9. Coordinate with the Temporary Staffing service all temporary personnel requirements based on schedule requirements.
  10. Monitor Temporary Staffing service time records for accuracy.
  11. Work well with all people in your area to produce maximum team effort.
  12. Work directly with management to establish production rates and costs associated with the production area.
  13. Perform all other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

  1. Proficient using Microsoft Office software.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Prefer experience using Oracle E-Business Suite.
  4. Prefer a B.S. degree in Business Administration or related field or has comparable training through experience from on the job training.
  5. Prefer 5 year’s supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance services and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, plastering, machine servicing, and electrical. 

Duties and Responsibilities
•    CNC troubleshooting drives, motors
•    Machine repair
•    Troubleshoot and correct setups, tooling and malfunctions
•    Operate the personnel lifts
•    Operate forklifts
•    Perform repairs and adaptions of equipment, such as; changing air, grease and coolant lines, switches, belts, guards
•    Fabricate miscellaneous items out of wood, metal and Plexiglas
•    Build or fabricate labels, devices, etc. to improve quality and production
•    Use hand and power tools
•    Move equipment
•    Plumbing, welding, construction of metal/wood, brazing, soldering, maintenance and inventory supply check in / out using CMMS system
•    Lookup MRO parts using CMMS system, if not available provide all relevant information to clerk, engineer or manager for prompt order of repair parts and rebuild machines as required
•    All non-routine machine maintenance and upkeep machines as required
•    Evaluate / repair / replace electrical motors and component
•    Wire machines
•    Install new equipment to meet all production needs
•    Basic PLC maintenance
•    Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•    Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and blueprints

Job Requirements:

•Possess excellent analytical problem solving skills
•Knowledge of electrical wiring, complex control circuitry, and air conditioning system installation and operation
•Able to perform electrical, pipefitting, brazing, and sheet metal work and read blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, and pneumatic diagrams

Job Responsibilities:

•Assist with repair, replacement, and installation of HVAC/refrigeration systems, inclusive of mechanical, electrical, pipefitting, ducting, and charging activities
•Assist in performing preventative maintenance tasks
•Assist in maintaining spare parts stock
•Additional duties may include: performing other facility maintenance tasks, assisting in prototype builds, and performing laboratory measurements such as airflow, pressure drop, hydrostatic pressure, etc.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the production runs to ensure that production schedules are met and company standards and procedures are strictly followed.  Supervises production personnel and janitors in meeting daily production requirements.

 

NATURE & SCOPE OF POSITION:

See that equipment is properly set up and that all other make-ready functions are carried out prior to the start of a production run.  Verifies and controls standard weights, maintains proper coding and reports any substandard equipment problems.

Oversee the activities of production run crew members so that quality, sanitation standards, safety standards, production procedures, and scheduling requirements meet standards.  Includes Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).

Assign work to production employees.  Follow up on assignments, monitor progress and make task-related decisions to meet quality and schedule requirements.

Prepare shift reports concerning shift activities as required on a daily basis and assure that all other line reports are complete and accurate.

Monitor production processing records to assure all record keeping is in line with company procedures and monitors product line performance at requested standards.

Train or delegate training of employees as required.  Evaluate skills and performance of employees and make appropriate recommendations for improvement to production shift manager.  Ensure employees follow all safety procedures.

Make suggestions regarding improvements in production methods, including use of available personnel.

Perform when necessary production tasks in conjunction with above responsibilities.

Keep production shift manager informed of all situations, activities, and deviations from normal operations.

Expected to quickly gain proficiency when new procedures, equipment, methods, etc., are added or changed.

Promote a positive team oriented attitude.

Maintain communication at shift change between production team leaders regarding any situations that may have or may impact production operation.

Assure all company quality standards are maintained.

Perform all other work as required.
