DESCRIPTION

 

The goal of the Mold/Die Setter is to provide expert support in the area of injection molding to the manufacturing operation.  It is both a “hands-on” and supportive role where consistent, quality parts are produced at effective rates.  As such, the Die Setter must operate with urgency and dedication to do “whatever it takes” to meet the customer’s requirements, in a safe working environment, and a positive team atmosphere.

 

The role is required to maintain the control of processes in injection molding. This person also provides support to the execution of the production schedule including anything from component changes, setups and startups. This role reports to the Process Engineer and supports the Lead Operator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITILIES

 

  • Responsible for all mold changes done per the production schedule
  • Responsible for the proper set-up of all molds and related functions such as watering of the mold, knockout, hot runner etc. for injection molding machines
  • Repair any fluid or air leaks relating to the mold
  • Responsible for the pulling and resetting of all mold halves, specifically for the purpose of mold repair
  • Monitors and prepares auxiliary equipment as needed in the production area
  • Maintains the orderly appearance of the mold storage area, including all end of arm tooling
  • Responsible for the orderly appearance of all mold-setting supplies including the removal of all supplies from the molding machines and immediate area
  • Adheres to all mold change policies
  • Coordinates and monitors the execution of the production schedule
  • Completes all necessary mold in/out paperwork.
  • Assists the Process Technician when needed; Verifies paperwork for jobs and completion of inspections at start up of jobs and in process inspections
  • Comply with all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
  • Trains back-ups

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Must be mechanically inclined.

Must be able to lift/carry 75 lbs or more at a time.

Must be flexible and capable of working any shift whether its day, evening or overnight hours.

Experience preferred, but will also provide more training.

  • Manufacturing company in Greenwood is looking for someone that has worked in a woodshop setting before and can comfortably operate various woodshop machinery (saws, nail joiners, etc.).
  • Must be able to read a tape measure, be able to stand for long periods of time, be able to lift up to 40lbs often, have an excellent past attendance record.

Code Enforcement Officer II is the second-level class in the professional planning series. Under direction, incumbents perform the full range of assigned duties in the Code Enforcement Division of the Planning & Zoning Department function. This class differs from the lower-level class in the skill level required, the complexity of assigned projects with multiple, complex violations, and the greater amount of time focused on more complex cases, policies, plan review, and disabled access liaison on access issues as opposed to time spent working in the field enforcing transition violations at the City’s planning counter. Code Enforcement II is distinguished from Code Enforcement Officer in that the latter is the professional journey-level of the Code Enforcement Division and operates more independently on more sensitive and complex violations.

Code Enforcement Officer I is an entry-level class in the Code Enforcement Division of the City’s Planning & Zoning Department. Code Enforcement Officer I is a journey-level, technical classification distinguished from classes in the professional planning series in that Code Enforcement Officer I focuses on field inspection and field and telephonic interaction with citizens, business owners, property owners and the public to ensure compliance with municipal code provisions, zoning codes, and ordinances propagated by planners. GENRAL PURPOSE
This is supervisory and administrative work in directing the operation and maintenance of the municipal airport. Work involves responsibility for supervisory and administrative tasks associated with departmental operations. Work is carried out under general direction of the City Manager and is reviewed principally through observation and discussion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise airport grounds maintenance.
Monitor and clear runways of foreign objects and debris.
Replace lights on runway as needed.
Notify the FAA of any deficiencies with navigation devises/safety by posting NOTAMS.
Make daily inspection of airport facilities and report any unsafe conditions or vandalism to proper city official.
Monitor airport for compliance with Airport regulations.
Maintain fuel supply.
 Act as a liaison between the City Manager and Citizens/Pilots.
 Ability to organize and supervise the work of the staff.
 Ability to maintain effective moderately complex work records and reports.

EDUCATIONAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from a high school or acceptable equivalent or vocational school, and preferable supplemented by one year of college course work. Work experience may be substituted for education.
Considerable supervisory experience.
