2nd & 3rd shift position available

2nd Shift – 2:45pm-11:00pm

3rd Shift – 10:45pm-7:00am

Duties would include but not limited to:

  • Count parts correctly
  • Inspect parts for quality issues
  • Assemble parts
  • Package parts accordingly
  • Get supplies as needed
  • Help with breaks when needed
  • Standing for 10 hours during shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Must have experience with propane forklift
  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks or aircraft
  • Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
  • Checking loads are secure
  • Stacking empty pallets

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
  • Housekeeping- follow all housekeeping policies and schedules.
  • Understand and demonstrate how to use all gauges in the cell.
  • Understand tolerances and how to make offsets on the machine to stay in spec.
  • Utilize quality tools in the cell ie SPC, OEE, etc.
  • Operate a minimum of one machine in the department efficiently (85% or better)
  • Perform set up (change over) following procedures in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, including automated operations, controls, and sensors.
  • Assist maintenance department in preventative maintenance responsibilities. Participate in updates of preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Complete routine equipment and product inspections and complete required documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs. Provide feedback to Maintenance and Supervisor as needed.
  • Inform supervisor or Department Manager about processes or equipment requiring attention.
  • Recommend and participate in completion of continuous improvement projects specifically designed to improve processes, productivity and quality, especially those related to corrective actions.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor, including working other shifts as necessary.
  • Adhere to 5S in the department

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must demonstrate good written and oral communication skills
  • Able to interpret technical data, including drawings and OMS.
  • Must be proficient in the use of common inspection and test equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills required.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School or GED diploma required.
  • Technical Certification in a Mechanical, Electrical, Automation preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, or technical field at MT or similar employer.

This position is for a Maintenance Mechanic with a Heating and Air Conditioning manufacturer that is located in Grenada, MS. Employer seeks team members within the night shift operation.

Duties Include:

  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems such as hydraulics, tooling, bearings, fittings, and pneumatic systems
  • Troubleshoot industrial manufacturing equipment and electrical systems
  • Install electrical utilities and read electrical schematics
  • Fabricate and installing piping systems (pneumatic, water, and gas)
  • Fabricate and install welded sheet metal assemblies (tables, fixtures, etc.)
  • Work successfully within preventative maintenance, environmental, and safety programs.

Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two plus years of experience in the stated duties below:
  1. Proven ability to read electrical schematics and hydraulic/pneumatic circuit schematics
  2. Responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment and electrical systems
  3. Ability to fabricate and weld sheet metal and industrial piping systems
  4. Possess good problem solving skills
  5. Can communicate effectively
  6. Ability to work both independently and part of a team
